The Department of Population Health Sciences offers a range of educational programs to train the next generation of leading researchers and practitioners in the study of the most effective ways to organize, coordinate, manage, finance and deliver high quality care.
Alumni from our programs perform the best possible research and contribute to scientific discovery, educate the next generation of healthcare professionals and researchers, provide service to healthcare institutions and policymakers, and innovate through data-driven insights. Ultimately, we want to ensure that patients see the right doctor, for the right treatment, at the right time in the right setting.
Our programs prepare students for careers in healthcare delivery, public health, health policy, health insurance, technology development, consulting, academics, and more. Throughout the course of our programs, our students experience a wide variety of hands-on training in key skills and knowledge sought by employers — including analytics, economics, policy, decision science, and implementation science.

Additionally, the department also offers a Certificate in Health Analytics. Health analytics is an interdisciplinary research field focused on identifying and improving analysis techniques used on data collected from various areas of healthcare delivery, operations, and research. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in the state-of-the-art analysis of health data.
Admission to graduate degree programs and certificate program in Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine requires that applicants hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
