Bio
Dr. Bishop's goal of her research is to improve the way we deliver health care in the U.S.
The Institute of Medicine defined six domains by which health care delivery can be measured - it should be safe, effective, efficient, equitable, timely, and patient-centered. Dr. Bishop's work looks at the prevalence of problems along these domains and ways that individuals, organizations, payers, and policymakers can solve or improve upon problems in health care delivery. She uses multiple methods such as large dataset analysis, surveys, qualitative techniques, and controlled trials of interventions.
Dr. Bishop is a member of Academy Health and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
