To examine these associations, she relies on quasi-experimental research designs, conceptual frameworks grounded in economic theory, and large data sources such as Medicaid insurance claims, hospital discharge records, and nationally representative surveys. Dr. Meinhofer is the Principal Investigator of several federal and private foundation grants, including from the National Institute on Drug Abuse K01 Career Development Award, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Gerber Foundation, and the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts.
