- Jinnie Kim (Jiang lab) who was recently awarded a place on this year’s Molecular and Cell Biology T32 training grant, led by Dr. Anthony Brown.

- Dianne Lumaquin (White lab) who was awarded an NIH F30 fellowship from the National Cancer Institute.
- Andrew Minotti (Studer lab) who received a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award F31 fellowship.
- Stefan Torborg (Tammela lab) who was awarded an F30 fellowship from the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute.
- Sylvia Zohrabian (Intlekofer lab) who was awarded a Department of Defense Horizon Award Fellowship.
- Helene Jahn (Menon lab) who was recently awarded a Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds PhD Fellowship.
2018-2019
- Nevin Yusufova (Ari Melnick lab), who has been awarded a Department of Defense Horizon grant under the title “Linker Histone Mutations Mediate Lymphomagenesis through Novel Chromatin Mechanism.”
- Gina Tomarchio (Prasad Jallepalli lab), Mitchell Martin (Vivek Mittel Lab), Bryce Delgardo (Stephen Long lab), Joseph Visone (Kirk Deitsch lab), Jennifer Endress (John Blenis Lab) and Samuel Kaplan (Danwei Huangfu Lab) for being awarded a place on this year’s Molecular and Cellular Biology Training Grant, led by Dr. Anthony Brown. 2017-2018
- Tapojyoti Das (David Eliezer lab), who was awarded a Trainee Scholarly Exchange Grant from Weill Cornell as part of the recently established Academic Integration Initiative. Tapojyoti will use this award to spend one month studying in the Baird/Holowka lab at Cornell’s Ithaca campus in early 2018. The cross-campus initiative is open to both graduate students and postdocs.
- Nohely Abreu (1st Year Student) who was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship in 2017. According to the NSF, “For the 2017 competition, NSF received over 13,000 applications, and made 2,000 award offers.” Learn more about the accomplishments of the class of 2017.
- Bess Rosen (Danwei Huangfu lab), Patrick Busch (Mary Baylies lab), Alexander Minikes (Xuejun Jiang lab), and Avital Schulman (Bryan Tsou lab) for being awarded places this year on the Molecular and Cellular Biology Training Grant, lead by Dr. Anthony Brown.
- Ruth Silimon (Mary Baylies lab) for being awarded a place this year on the Stem Cell and Developmental Biology Training Grant, lead by Dr. Heidi Stuhlmann. Ruth joins several other BMCB students on this training grant including Maria Bustillo (Jennifer Zallen lab), Christina Kam (Samie Jaffrey lab), and Gary Dixon (Danwei Huangfu lab).
- Yan Zhang (Richard White lab), who was awarded an NIH F99/K00 fellowship for her project “Investigating the Role of BACE2 in Melanocyte Development and Melanoma Progression.” Learn more about the accomplishments of members of the class of 2012.
- Teng Han (Lukas Dow lab), who was awarded a 2017-2018 WCM Graduate Student Fellowship and was named recipient of the “Jacques Cohenca Predoctoral Fellowship.”
- Pradeep Ramalingam, MD (Jason Butler lab), who was awarded a Glenn/AFAR Scholarship for Research in the Biology of Aging.
