The Science Communication Club (GSEC)

The Science Communication Club was founded because of the increasing interest amongst STEM PhD students to develop more effective communication skills for their respective careers. The mission of this club is to help students develop necessary leadership and communication skills, aid students in navigating various career options involving science communication, and help bridge the communication gap between scientists and the general population.

Not planning on a career in science communication? This club could still be for you. We aim to help students develop essential scientific communication skills for all careers. We meet monthly and host a variety of events in addition to providing students access to networking events and workshops occurring throughout the city.

If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please email Emily Costa (eac2006@med.cornell.edu).
