EMAILING THE I-20

On October 12, 2021, SEVP formally announced that I-20s can be issued electronically. Here is the SEVP guidelines https://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/I20-guidance.pdf. I-20s do not have be physically produced, signed with a live ink, and then sent by mail. I-20s can be issued electronically. Students have the option, if you so choose, to come in-person for a live ink signature.  We, however, will not be physically mailing any I-20s.

The below information we have maintined for historical and informational purposes only.

WCGS uses FedEx to mail I-20. If you are unable to pick up your I-20 in person, please refer to the shipping instructions below based on the type of I-20 requests.

• If you are currently on post-completion OPT or STEM OPT and required a travel signature, please mail us your most current I-20 to the mailing address listed below, including a pre-paid return label.

• If you are requesting an I-20 for any of the following reasons:
• I-20 for STEM OPT Application
• Replacement/Lost of I-20

Please create a pre-paid shipping label by filling the "From Address" section with the following information and email the label to us as desbribed below:

1. Go to the FedEx website to create a shipping label.
2. For "Your Name", enter: International Student Services
3. For "Company", enter: Weill Cornell Graduate School
4. For "Address", use the mailing address below.
5. For "Phone": 212-746-6565
6. For "Email Notifications", enter: WCM-ISS@med.cornell.edu
7. Choose FedEx One Rate, FedEx Envelope.
8. Declare $0 value.
9. For "Shipping Date", please enter at least two days from the date you generate the label.
10. Save the shipping label in PDF and email it to WCM-ISS@med.cornell.edu OR upload the shipping label when submitting the online form.
    

Note your I-20 request will not be processed without the pre-paid shipping label if you select "Shipped by FedEx" as your delivery option.
