F31 Grant Writing Workshops

Regular workshops for F31 predoctoral grants by Dr. Xiaoai Chen:

Before each NIH F31 grant submission deadline the Graduate School offers a series of workshops to help students prepare competitive  applications. As part of the workshop series, students can also avail of one-on-one external consultant services  for scientific editing of their proposals.

Student Work-in-Progress Seminars

Students in the Training Program participate in either one or both of the following work-in-progress seminars:

  • BCMB Student Seminars – a bi-weekly, Friday afternoon seminar series in which two 4th and 5th year students present their research in 30 min talks.
  • Student and Post-Doc Stem Cell Forum – a monthly, Monday afternoon seminar series in which one student and one post-doc present their research.

Student-Invited Visiting Scientist Seminar and Luncheon

T32 trainees select and invite one faculty speaker per year as part of the BCMB student seminar series. For 2019, the students invited Adrienne Boire, MD, PhD from the Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program at MSKCC.
