WCM is part of a vibrant community of computational biologists and DNA sequencing experts!
Meetings:
Every Thursday, the Applied Bioinformatics Core offers a weekly Bioinformatics Walk-in Clinic -- for all your questions about experimental design and data analysis!
For more experienced coders and programmers, you may be interested to join the mailing list of d:bug to stay up-to-date with cool packages and state-of-the-art data science tips.
Classes:
- Quantitative understanding in biology - review of quantitative techniques with an emphasis on how to select an appropriate statistical test, interpret the results, and design experiments
- Workshops taught by personnel of the Applied Bioinformatics Core:
- Introduction to UNIX (schedule, UNIX course notes)
- Intro to differential gene expression analysis using RNA-seq (schedule, RNA-SEQ course notes )
- Introduction to R
- Genomics Workshop provided by the Genomics Resources Core Facility as part of the Master of Science in Clinical & Translational Investigation
