The Chinese Student and Scholar Association was founded to support the general Chinese population in Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorially Sloan-Kettering Institute, the Rockefeller University and Hospital for Special Surgery. We also work with Cornell Tech, as well as Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York. The mission of this association is to facilitate career and life in the four institutes and to introduce the Chinese culture to our international friends. We hold regular cultural and social events, such as dinner parties on the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Lunar New Year. Once a year, we hold a career workshop with guest speakers from the pharmaceutical industry, the financial industry and the academia. In addition, we hold informational sessions about hiring institutions and companies for graduate degree holders in biological sciences, throughout the academic year. Our events are open to members of the four institutes, as well as our friends and colleagues in the tri-state area.
