Course Description

This course is designed to introduce students with a background in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) to the general principles, practice and terminology used in the healthcare environment, in particular related to biomedical imaging and radiological practice.

Course Objectives

The goal of the course is for students to become conversant in the language of Radiology and Radiological Science, affording them access to a range of positions in the multidisciplinary biomedical imaging environment consisting of radiologists, other clinicians, physicists, engineers, technologists and administrators. The material presented in the course will be useful for individuals choosing either a research or clinically oriented career path.
