Dr. Carlos Diaz – Salazar
Dr. Carlos Diaz – Salazar
Postdoctoral Researcher, Columbia University

Dr. Salazar is a postdoctoral researcher at the Polleux Lab at Columbia University. His research interests include neuroimmune mechanisms of synaptic development during health and disease. He is currently studying the interaction between microglia and excitatory neurons during synaptic development, and its effect on synaptic plasticity. Carlos completed his PhD in the Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis (IMP) program under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Sun, where he worked elucidating the cellular mechanisms driving Natural Killer Cell expansion during viral infection. When he's not in the lab, Carlos enjoys bouldering, playing piano, and planning his next vacation.

Dr. Camila Prieto
Dr. Camila Prieto
Associate Medical Director Medical Strategy & Scientific Affairs, BGB Group

Camila currently works as an Associate Medical Director, Medical Strategy & Scientific Affairs, at BGB Group, where she focuses on healthcare communications, including medical education, promotional advertising, and strategic brand planning, with expertise in immuno-oncology focusing on thoracic cancers across US and global businesses. She completed her thesis work in the lab of Dr. Michael Kharas, where she identified the RNA-binding RBMX as a potential novel therapeutic target in acute myeloid leukemia and determined that it controls leukemia cell survival by regulating chromatin through the downstream target CBX5.

Dr. Reeti Mayur Sanghrajka
Dr. Reeti Mayur Sanghrajka
Postdoctoral Fellow, Oncology and Immuno-Oncology Department, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Sanghrajka is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Oncology and Immuno-Oncology Department at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. She joined the BCMB umbrella program at WCM in 2015 and completed her thesis work from the laboratory of Dr. Alexandra Joyner at MSKCC in the June of 2022. In her thesis work, she established KMT2D as a tumor suppressor in Medulloblastoma and defined its role in tumor progression and metastasis. In her current position, she is defining the molecular mechanisms through which oncogenic mutations modulate the tumor microenvironment and influence responses to tyrosine kinase inhibitors and immune checkpoint inhibitors. Reeti braced her entrepreneurial spirit during graduate school during which time she co-founded UTR Therapeutics, a biotech startup that aims to treat patients with Cancer and Rare Genetic Diseases. Outside work, Reeti enjoys reading, baking, running/hiking, and exploring new restaurants.
