Dr. Huang is an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience in the Department of Psychiatry and the Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine; his research focuses on brain-wide network dynamics and novel therapeutics for neuropsychiatric disorders. He obtained his B.A. from Columbia University, Ph.D. from UCLA, and postdoctoral training from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Huang is deeply committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging at Weill Cornell and beyond. He serves on the Social Justice and Anti-Racism (SJAR) Taskforce and leads the SOS Social Justice Working Group to provide safe spaces for open dialogue on social trauma and concerns for the community. He also co-edits the Conversations on Diversity, a forum for faculty members to share personal reflections on issues of diversity and identity. Additionally, Dr. Huang launched and co-organizes the online seminar series FINS (Frontiers in Neuropsychiatry Seminars) to feature early-career scientists worldwide, showcasing not only their groundbreaking research but also their diverse life journeys and social challenges. Through his research and activism, Dr. Huang hopes to deepen our understanding of cognition and alleviate mental suffering with both comprehension and compassion.
