Why did you choose Weill Cornell Graduate School for your graduate studies?

I chose Weill Cornell Graduate School for my graduate studies because the program I attended, which is the Biomedical Imaging program, can perfectly provide the knowledge I need for my future research.

What sets Weill Cornell apart from other institutions?

Weill Cornell gathers various resources all over New York City. The collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center makes WCM a unique place that provides plenty of research opportunities in different fields. Besides, the inclusive and diverse environment makes me feel welcome here.

What has been your most rewarding experience at Weill Cornell?

As a first-year graduate student who majors in Mathematics in undergraduate, I was amazed by the quantity and quality of our lab experience. For instance, during our microscopy class, we were introduced to a different microscope or microscopy technique every lecture, and the following lecture would be a lab that let us actually see those microscopes. Moreover, during our nuclear medicine class, we also got the chance to see different PET, SPECT, and CT machines. These lab experiences greatly facilitated our learning.

What are your plans after you graduate?

I plan to apply for a PhD position after graduate. With further study in WCM, I believe I can choose a matching research field where my interdisciplinary knowledge can be applied and make contributions.
