All students applying for an F-1 Student Visa must present proof of financial support demonstrating sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses for the first year of study at Weill Cornell. Please note that you will be required to present proof of finances prior to being issued your F-1 Visa I-20 documents. If you require assistance with this, please contact WCM-ISS@med.cornell.edu.
Ph.D. students satisfy this requirement by presenting a verification letter from the Graduate School documenting the awarded stipend and scholarship package.
Masters students must show proof of scholarship, stipend, or liquid assets in the form of a bank document, loan approval statement or letter from the sponsor’s employer showing annual salary amounts.
