Bio

Elizabeth Wood

For over 25 years, as the creator and primary developer of WebCAMP, I have been a national leader in the planning, design and development of software to track resource utilization and researcher productivity at CTSAs (and previously GCRCs).  During this time, I have also led the planning and evolution of informatics resources for researchers at the Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) GCRC and Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC).  I spearheaded the introduction of REDCap into the CTSC’s data management toolset in 2006, when we were one of the first ten sites to join the REDCap consortium at its inception.

I also work in coordination with institutional groups within the Information Technologies and Services Department (ITS) and Physician’s Organization Information Services (POIS), which manages the outpatient EMR (Epic) and data warehouse at Weill-Cornell.  A major accomplishment, achieved through coordinated efforts of my group, ITS and POIS, has been the implementation of tools supporting flow of Epic data into REDCap databases ("SUPER REDCap").

More recently, I am overseeing the creation of an "app development service" within the CTSC. We are actively recruiting researchers and community members able to elucidate needs not met by current apps, and work toward innovative solutions in this rapidly expanding field.
