The Book Club meets once every 2-3 months to discuss a book, eat homemade dinner and be merry. At each meeting, a couple of attendees get to nominate the next book, which is voted on by the group. Books are not limited by type or genre, so it's a great opportunity to read an interesting variety, and of course a great opportunity to read for fun, a rare concept sometimes in grad school! Some recent books include: All the Light We Cannot See, Furiously Happy, The Seventh Day, Station Eleven, The Girl on the Train, Things Fall Apart and If on a Winter's Night a Traveler.
Book club is really informal, delicious and always a fun conversation with friends! Emails with info on the next meeting will go out to the grad student list, and if you have any questions please feel free to email the Book Club president André Pineda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
