Key Events

For the first time in our institution’s history, the Weill Cornell Graduate School had a dedicated ceremony to honor our graduates – 86 doctoral candidates (including the first graduate from the Houston Methodist campus) and 225 students across the MS programs.

The 2026 Convocation ceremony honored students who are graduating with their master’s and doctorate degrees, as well as those who earned special awards and prizes for their accomplishments in research, scholarship and service. The ceremony also recognized exemplary graduate school faculty.

The 2026 symposium is organized by students as always to create a forum for highlighting student research. There were 153 total presentations and the 2026 keynote address was Yale’s Dr. Rachel Perry on the interplay between insulin and cancer.
