It is designed to augment, strengthen and refine the student’s knowledge and skills learned in the didactic phase. This allows students to actively participate in the care of patients with routine and emergent gynecologic and obstetrical conditions, and participate as an integral member of the health care team while under the direct supervision of attending physicians, housestaff physicians and physician assistants. The student will be responsible for performing directed history and physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and medical and surgical management (under supervision) of patients.
