Dr. Janey Peterson is Associate Professor of Clinical Epidemiology in Medicine, Integrative Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery. She is a clinical epidemiologist, behavioral scientist and nurse with a clinical background in aging and cardiothoracic critical care. Her work addresses complicated public health problems that are intertwined with social issues, such as cultural and age disparities, poor adherence to health behaviors, and abuse in the elderly.
Dr. Peterson is a 2013 Paul B. Beeson Clinical Scholar, the nation's preeminent career award in aging research, funded by the National Institute on Aging and the American Federation for Aging Research. She is also principal investigator of a several studies that focus on cancer survivorship. Her research has been featured in US News and World Report, CNBC.com, and others.
